It is a great honor for me to serve Kowloon Junior Chamber as President in 2010.

 

This year marks the 45^th anniversary of our chapter. It is indeed a landmark achievement. Over the last 45 years we have dedicated ourselves to developing future leaders. Not just ordinary leaders, but young active citizens who would create positive change.

 

In the era of globalization, we need world class leaders with global vision and exposure. We cannot serve society or community well without understanding the challenges our society is facing. Nor can they become a leader with global vision without recognizing our own and others' cultures and values.

 

To this end, we will promote the awareness of the public about the importance of financial planning in view of the increasing healthcare costs, which is an inevitable social issues in the near future.

 

To recognize and promote our own culture we will continue to organize the Children's Chinese Calligraphy Competition to preserve and promote our traditional Chinese culture.

 

On an international level, we will initiate an International Exchange project to exchange members between one of our sister chapters to facilitate understanding of each others culture.

 

We will also help NOM to organize the CEO forum and Public Speaking Contest so members can share the wisdom of multi-national CEOs and charisma of the contestants respectively.

 

All these projects aim at nothing but only one aim to develop global leaders.

 

So let us work together, continue our legacy by scaling KJC to new heights this year!
